As a little girl, and throughout most of my life, I felt as if I live in two parallel worlds that never meet and do not accept one another. I felt as if a hole has opened up inside me, as if I was two people living in one body. Divided. Wherever I go, I am different. Experiencing a split personality of sorts.

In this series, I attempt to reconcile these two worlds and make them coexist within myself. I bring together my Polish and Iraqi grandparents post-mortem. I introduce two sides that did not accept each other throughout most of their lives.

 
In these photographic intersections, I ask one side to host the other side.

I blend tastes, smells and colors to create a special dance.
They can no longer say no.
